I have completed my written asessment:) and it happened to be so good that I was asked by my lecturer to work on a paper for the GMR2008 conference but I haven't had much time to think about things like that...or even about getting myself some more new lady friends :P

I miss my old friends from home, I call them up once in a while....just to say hi :) I find myself missing home so much when I'm alone....but hey, this is my new life and I should enjoy it :)

I had fun on the train yesterday, ended up catching the wrong train...LOLZ.....I'm considering getting a new bebo account :O Yep, thats right...bebo! I never liked it but...all my friends are just demanding that I get a page......so *ahem* I think....I'll think about it some more....over a few drinks maybe :P

I'm at the train station.....just thinking about a dream I had one morning.....a very freakishly familiar dream with someone I used to know very well....she was a true friend,she tried to be there for me....in every way but...yet she was never really there....I called her just as my dream ended and then......she said that she didn't want to be my friend anymore.....because some guy said she shouldn't be. I just feel that she is just making excuses.....if she doesn't wanna know me, she should just say so! Duh!......I can take the truth.....anyway, I remember my friend because she has taught me so much :) I consider myself to be quite successful with my goals here....I am top of my class and I have been asked to participate in a senior studenst project! ooooooh how exciting :P I was thinking about our times together....

I think that I have learned a lot from other people in my life....so I dedicate this entry to Mrs SCV :P Thank you for being YOU :)

"An evening with the IT industry in New Zealand"

I had to meet up with my friend M for business. I was delivering her order of tshirts and we planned to meet at the train station. I got wireless access from the station which was pretty easy...and reasonably cheap coz you pay for data usage and not time.Ten cents per MB. I had a chat with friends back home then I met M and we started talking about how cool the tees were :) THEY ARE COOL! THANKS ALLEN!!!
I am proud to sell these tees here and there has been growing interest from my classmates and friends. Anyway I met M and she said that she had to meet her cousin so, I met her cuz and then we all went on "the free bus" coolstuff! its a bus.....thats free :PAnyway,I saw all the beautiful cityscape and then I got to Auckland Uni...and it is just a marvel of design! I'm writing this from inside the student lounge...hehe,this place is awesome and their student lounge is cool. Students can just sit around and "discuss" stuff...lol. Yeah,uhm....as a student I was discussing how my mouse works with the girls.lol:)Today is a special event that is organized by the NZCS which will be held in Auckland University.
They had to leave but I'm still here finishing up some stuff...uhm....coz I'm a student here :P

I haven't been writing coz i have been busy. I got a job at an internet cafe...managing the computer hardware there,I've had my work cut out,the old AMD Athlons running basic internet software and office programs are almost giving up, the owner doesn't want to change them but I am strongly recommending that he does so soon. I also drove my sisters car for the first time :) yipeee! No crashes and she said I was good,well actually she said "mediocre" yeah...knowing her.She said you can do it...it's just like in the game! haha....and you know what? it was! :)I am on the train, just blogging....coz it's very boring staring at other people.lol! not! I love looking at people here...they're so diverse in their looks....some of them unique...some of them are also just drop dead gorgeous. I notice that I'm losing my Fiji way of speaking really quick. I don't like it so I plan to talk to my friends back home more often....but of course,I'm not making as much money here :( so I may have to look at other means of being "self sufficient"I haven't moved into the city yet but...I don't plan to stay here for very long either.I am trying to find my balance here and trying to be like a "roman in rome"There are times when I just feel so sad coz I miss home so much. Tiny and seemingly insignificant things can set off a bad case of "homesickness" but I just keep myself occupied and try to keep my girlfriends off my mind.I miss my best bud too, and at this time he is going through a lot and I worry about him but he is such a person that has so much confidence and such faith that I know he will be able to get through anything!Although I still wish I could be there for him,I know that being here and doing working and studying hard is what I came to do and he wouldn't never want me to leave my pursuits for him, neither do I want him to do the same for me.I also met an old friend.....it was almost by unreal how we found each other! It could be fate....but I don't believe in all that crap. We choose our own fate......my life has been a series of choices, and "the tribe has spoken" LOL! I love the new survivor series...it was tons of fun watching. I also watched other programs that weren't available back home. Heroes is on here but old season....CSI:LV and CSI:NY are on as well apart from that I enjoyed watching Paris and Nicole do their realty stuff,so funny!Being here has helped me to think beyond my space,my island, my world! :)I also liked taking pictures here....but I love the cars more than anything else. I was happy with the food too.I had KFC last nite but my sister took me around to some of the best fast food joints around.SUBWAY, WENDY'S, and of course, my favorite "Mc Dees" :)

I have also seen many opportunities for business here. I would really like to setup a company here but I have to wait until I can get residence before I do that,if,I find a good reason to stay.I miss my customers so much and yeah, they miss me too...not just their computers! lol
I called home yesterday, spoke to my mom....I worry about her coz...she seems a little upset and there was a lot of sadness in her voice:(

Today I have class for 1 full day. It seems that I will be joining the February intake. This means I will graduate in November :D so that also means,more time to hang around New Zealand and see the wonders :)My visa expires at the end of March 2009,this gives me time to get a job and apply for a work permit IF I decide to stay on, otherwise its back to my beautiful island home again....to do business as usual!:DI called one of my customers yesterday regarding the database I have been working on. She said I look well,hehe...and yeah I feel great too!:)
I am looking forward to move into the city next month but the only problem is my job is down south in a place called Papatoe....or "indianville" as some would say..I met so many Indo-Fijians living around this area.Anyway,I am not making as much money as I make back home :( I don't like it coz....I work long hours for less.
